Black Line Spalted Maple filler

If you have worked with BL Spalted maple you'll know there are lots of mini - crevices and potholes to fill prior to finishing. What's your preferred filler, - material and colour?

slow set thick CA glue coat after coat after coat after...... well you get the idea........

it depends on what kind of finish you are going to use. you could consult w/ a pro finisher for a better evaluation of the wood and what you want the finished bass to look like. for larger cracks i have taken saw dust and mixed it into 5 minute epoxy for a wood filler, this works pretty well. for general grain filling a paste wood filler will fill the pores of the wood then the finish will build quicker and be flatter. paste fillers come in colors, "natural" may work well. after the paste filler a few coats of lacquer etc should leave you w/a flat, even finish ready to buffing etc.
