Boarax swirl oil paint on body - using tub

Sign in to disble this ad
i came across a post/thread the other night about a painting process using borax and oil paints in a large rubbermaid tub.

the thread was complete with info and pictures of the process. i cant find it for the life of me - i tried searching borax but cant seem to locate it ... maybe one of you know what thread exactly im talking about.

i believe the thread was about finishing/painting the body and there might have been a link to another forum with the borax process thread.

help!

cheers!

also check www.jemsite.com for more info the name of it is swirling as seen on the Ibanez Steve Vai signature guitars.

its not as easy as they make it out to be, they leave out the most crucial step and its building the clear coat, when the body is taken out of the water it will have a rough texture from different layers of the paint which you can not sand flat
