Does body shape affect the sound of a bass. I'm not talking some bizarre work of art body, but lets say JBass shape vs PBass shape?
The reason I ask is I have become very acustom to the shape of JBass's, but want a PBass. I was wondering if I get a JBass body and put the PUP in the PBass position, and a PBass neck will it sound like a PBass? |

Now a massive singlecut versus a steinberger shape.... you'd probably notice a difference. |

The differences in mass/stiffness distribution between the two is minimal. If you compare a P to a Ritter, then you need to do some considering...
