| | Bolt-on neck on a Rickenbacker-styled body
I'm planning on building a new body for my Kramer P Bass copy neck, shaped like a Rickenbacker 4001/4003. Does the standard body shape have enough wood near the heel area to accommodate a bolt-on neck, while keeping a 34" scale length for the neck to be of any use? Keep in mind this bass will not have a neck pickup, but just a P pickup in mid position and possibly another one in the bridge. Also, any tips on bridge placement, scale length, or where to get a proportional "stencil" for the body outline?
