I know this is probably a silly post so sorry in advance.

Im planning to buy the books "Make your own Electric Guitar" by Melvyn Hiscock and "Building Electric Guitars" by Martin Koch. Once ive bought them im hoping i can read up then jump into bass building like a lemming off a cliff.

Im just wondering do these books cover EVERYTHING. Stuff like wood, truss rods, electrinics, finishing, types of neck, making fretboards, tools....everything.

Basically if i had a pile of wood, tools, bass parts and those books, could i make a bass.

Note that i have no experience in woodwork, so this is a totally new thing for me.

Thanks
