Broken Neck Repair

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought one natural finish neck with Head-totally-off broken.
I used tite bond and 4 clamps and did it glue it to Neck.
But.....
problem happens here.

the glued mark seems too remarkable. It looks so black line by glance.

Any idea to remove the line ?

I thought of a few ways..... file the parts and filled with sawdusts. or..... make little bigger U line to fill.

Even consider finishing kinda transparent color over it after filling.

Not so many idea occur me.

Typically what we do is lightly sand the area before the glue dries. This way the dust gets into the glue to help hide the joint.

I should send some part to dig off, and try to hide the joint with the dust and sawdust extra.
Thank you.
