How major/expensive a deal is it to replace a broken trussrod in a bass neck?

Then after the glue dries you need to clean up the glue joint and do a setup, so call it 4 hours total. Plus parts. |

I think must luthiers would charge $300 - $450 if there are no complications. It all hinges around the value of your instrument. Can you justify spending that amount? |

Stew Mac makes a truss rod rescue kit that is the bomb ! I used it on a Gibson G3 that the truss rod snapped off at the nut. Worked like a charm took all of 15 min. only cause I read the directions.
