ye gods, why?

man, that is a lovely top, a lovely core, and a lovely back. but why take all of them in one build? isnt that defeating the purpose of the curly swamp ash?

No not really, you will see plenty of the curly swamp ash from the sides and carves of the bass.

a scooped/cupped arm contour would definately show off some ash, as well as be more erganomic.

Neck blank, the maple has some nice curl in it that will show up better when finished.

I've got the body started, the buckeye is sanded to 80 grit in these photos the figure will show much better after a bit more sanding.

Dry,

Wiped down,

I like the sort of circle in the middle. Is it just me that can see it? It looks pretty cool .

I've started filling the voids/bark incursions.

For the larger ones I used wenge wood dust mixed with 2 part epoxy the smaller ones are filled with dust and CA.

Ive seen holes in wood beeing filled up with solder (the stuff used for soldering) That sure looked cool.
Your method is cool too though.

Back set is glued on, control cavity routed, control cover cut and the body rounded over, I've also gotten a lot done to the neck but have yet to take pictures of it.
