Let me just say that it's a whole lot of work on maple, and ebony would be even more. I think the best results come from a radiused block and a whole lot of elbow grease, but I built a router jig to do it that worked to a point. Of course, it also gave me a whole lot of grief and I still have to put in a number of hours with the block and sandpaper, so I can't call it a complete success.

If it is then a radiused block like Stew-Mac sells is gonna be weird, but workable as it is not that wide. I would make my own radiusing board, but probably I'd try to rig up a jig to do it with a router. Something like Nateo built. At least to get it roughly to shape anyway. |

Custom made, about $40-ish for the pair, IIRC...he sells on ebay a lot as well. Just email him, he'll make them that wide. I just looked on ebay, he has a set on there right now.
