Can you make me a neck?

A few years ago I built a jazz bass. Its beautiful IMO. Green Burst body, pealoid pick guard. The electronics are all stock from a MIM fender as well is the neck. Ive been checking out boutiqe basses latly. But the jazz has racked up sentimental value. It was my first project. I get compliments on it all the time. Old cats at the open jam like to play it. Anyways, so theres somethings id like to change about it. Right now it has a rosewood fingerboard. Nothings wrong with it. But i think a maple neck with birds eye maple fretboard and block inlays and white binding would look great!! I checked warmoth, but they only offer maples with black block inlays. I like the lighter ones. It would make a nice accent to the pick guard. I think i can get one form all parts for around 300+. Those are actuall fender jazz necks too. So i know theres some talented luthers here. Can anyone help me out? Id rather support you guys. If anyone could give me an estimate that would be great. I fell in love with an Elrick I just played. But i would be happy with hot rodding my jazz.

You haven't checked Warmoth recently. In just the past week or so they have added pearloid blocks with either white or pearloid binding.

Here's a link to a SOLD neck that is pearloid blocks with white binding:

http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/sc_g...emNumber=BN669

And a link to a pearloid/pearloid neck (it's a 5-string neck, but you get the idea of what this combo looks like):

All the best,

R

Yep, Warmoth's usually a little behind on their main web content - with the exception of their Showcase items. Had I not known of these new neck options, I would be right there with ya.

Check out http://www.soulmateguitars.com/

Doug made a very nice custom neck for a body that I made.

The fitting (to the existing neck pocket) was perfect.
