Carbon Fibre rod reinforcing question
I have seen 2 methods of installing CF rods....
in the same slot and either side of the truss rod
in separate slots either side of the truss rod
obviously having both the CF and trussrod in the same slot has tooling advantages
any opinions which is the best way to to do it??
Best way... I don't think there is such a thing. When I did carbon fiber rods I left a little wood between the trussrod on both sides. Mainly worried about glue going where it isn't supposed to. Thinking about it spreading out the stiffness logically makes sense... I think that putting the rods next to the truss is more for concern with neck shape. like a V-shape strat neck going too far off the center line would limit how much wood one could remove.
