I used one of the necks thru blanks and it worked out well.
I've had the instrument now for 9 years

I played in a band that had them as an endorsment and I would use carvin stuff for anything guitars, pa, whatever, even though I don't play with the group now...carvins new ICON is sweet....but i use some of their parts and never had a problem

maybe a great topic for the Basses forum and not the Luthier's Corner, as this topic currently has nothing to do with building basses

Unless he's talking about the neck-thru blanks you can buy, such as
https://www.carvinguitars.com/produc...hp?product=NT5
in which case this is the right place. They've been used a few times by members.

My Carvin Neck-Thru ...

PJ All Day; I recently bought a 5-string Carvin neck thru from a fellow off Ebay, but he had already attached some body wings. The woods he used were awesome but the wings were so small the thing had serious neck dive. I have cut off the body so I can attach my own once I get relocated. I think it will be a nice project once I get into it. By the way, my neck has a more traditionally shaped headstock blank that they don't offer anymore - which I really like. I only paid $122 for it at auction. They retail for $269 it seems. I will be looking for help and advice after I get into working on this so hopefully I can refer to this thread again in the future. Good luck with yours.

The Carvin neckthru blanks have no neck angle to them. Choose your bridge
accordingly!

Well, Carvin uses Hipshot A's and B's, so I would assume that they would work fine.
