Oh wow. That's a hell of a contribution. I was thinking that any vintage or custom contributions we get, we could auction off here on the site. If they allow for bidding in the for sale forums, and put the money towards our expenses. But if you'd like to contribute its up to you how you want the bass used. We could set it up and hold onto it for a special kid with some special potential. Either way, that piece would be heading to trace, once the time comes. If its been sitting in storage, I would definitely say hold onto it until we get our non profit status for tax deductions. No reason not to.

Well they do.. kind of... it's called ... "Or Best Offer" LOL...
I think the revebue from that would go a looooong way towards the costs of extreaneous parts (paint, stains, laquers) and shipping or advertisement costs... something to look at and a realistic cost of logistics.
I would bid on it myself....

Much easier than delaminating the fretboard and no guarantee I can save the fretboard.

We may want to have a fretless available as there may be someone out there that loves that fretless jazz sound. Ya?
But, It's your call. I can do either job.
Brother, I'm cool with it either way. I just think it would be cool that this could end up helping out some young bassist that doesn't have anything to play.

Just signed up to confirm I'm still interested, but I'm going to be busy with other stuff at until August. I'll have a few bits and pieces to contribute down the road.

Sorry, guys. Work has really come down on top of me of late. I can no longer head this up. I would still happily be a part of it, but I can't spearhead the movement.

Edited a lot:

Sorry I dropped off the face of the planet. I had a lot of other affairs to get in order. But, with my return comes good news and renewed intent!

My current roomie, a local business owner and musician is a huge fan of this idea and is going to have his lawyer help me with making this legal! Everyone who is still interested, let's create a new little forum and/or PM to catch me up on what I've missed, please! Then we can get back to the who's and what's and make some good things happen for some bad luck kid somewhere!

Great!

I think I'll go recreate one of those forums like someone already did tomorrow. Hopefully we can get together the paperwork and legitimacy sometime next month. I'm really looking forward to getting this rolling. Thanks for keeping it alive guys. It means a lot knowing there's people out there who want to do good to others. I can't wait to get to know you all better and see what we can do.

I lied, I recreated it tonight. The unnamed TB for the kids project

Couldn't think of a better name at 2 in the morning while completely exhausted. I'll pretty it up tomorrow...

Hey ya'll... I'm editing this several months later and a lot worse for wear. My injury this October cost me my job and I had to move back in with my family. I'm going to have to put this on indefinite hold until I'm in better shape, physically and financially.
