Curly Maple Amplifier

Is a product from Kentucky. Does anyone know where to get some. I think it is a water-based solution that amplifies the light effect of figured maple. Was used on banjoes mostly. If anyone has any ideas.... Cheers.

Without seeing it my guess it that it is a light amber water based dye. Any light amber water based dye will enhance the grain of figured woods since it absorbs unevenly.

I thought that this would be a thread about building an amp or speaker cabinet from Curly Maple!!!!!

Anyway.......Aniline dye is the product you are looking for. Any woodworking store such as Rockler or Woodworker's Supply should have it.

Although, I prefer Lockwood Dye...They are located in the New York Area. Their Honeytone Amber is a simply gorgeous shade.

BTW....It really doesn't have much to do with Kentucky. ...........Unless it is the name of an actual product from Kentucky!
