Custom control plate! Thanks J.D.B.!

A while back, I posted a thread looking for a machinist to make a control plate for my Dingwall Super J. I looked all over New Orleans, talked to several machinists, and nobody wanted to take the job on. Enter TB member, J.D.B., who offered to make it for me on the condition that I pass the favor on. I am floored by such a random act of kindness. This is singular proof that not everybody on the internet is a degenerate boor.

The control plate arrived in the mail today, and it fits perfectly! I still have to get it chromed, but I think it looks pretty cool so far.

In accordance with my agreement with J.D.B., I'm offering a free professional setup to a TBer in the New Orleans area who needs one. Send me a PM and we'll see what I can do to help out.

Thanks, J.D.B. You kick unholy ass.

I am intrigued... what exactly am I looking at here? is that an output jack, or a mini toggle switch, or a volume control, or ____?

Edit: just noticed the shadow, I'm guessing it's a 3-position pickup selector?

One of my basses has no controls, it freaked me out a little at first, but now I enjoy the challenge of controlling my volume and tone with just my hands. Good luck with it!
