Junk! Cheap pot metal garbage.

http://mailboxmusic.zoovy.com/product/BBR_MRSCH

The screws went right throught the metal into the body of the bass. Now I have to find just slightly biger headed screws and try again. Anybody else have experience with these?.....t

Cool Bridge pieces

Dave Bunker used to make that style part when he was here in PA. Look him up on the net. I think he still builds. His were real nice. I once had to make a 6-string Bass on a 5-string Neck. Almost Guitar spacing with Bass strings. I used another Companies Individual Bridge pieces at the time but I can remember who they were. I was back around 10-12 years ago before I had met Bunker. I would have used his if I had known BUT, it worked out just fine.

Give dave a shot at it......

Thanks Ken. I wish the customer didn't want these bridges. A regular 4 string bridge would have done fine for this bass. I could understand wanting to use these if a strange situation/application was called for but it isn't in this case..T

I've had no problems with them. However they're copies of the ABM's (~ $35 ea at Allparts) and Hipshot are about to introduce a 'similar' new individual bridge that allows string through too. It's on the website.

Contact Custom Shop Parts and let them know. They were very friendly when I bought from them, maybe they might just send replacements.

The Bunker parts you found are not the same. Those are pretty special....
He used to use some similar to the Custom Parts, on some earlier work.

I suggest you contact them and find out exactly what material they use. If you need, tell us and we'll tell you if you need to change supplier (bad stuff) or just beat them up for bad quality control (bad batch).

I would get furious if I had the same experience...

The ABM ones are pretty decent. Your best bet is probably to spring for those.
