Double Build: Neckthru Singlecuts - 5-String Multiscale Bass / 6-String Guitar

Hi TB, this is my first build post on TBLC. I'm a long time lurker here and have learned a load from the extremely talented people posting their builds and advice.
Ive built a few basses/guitars in the past, i think this will be my 5th/6th build.

Specs:

Bass Scale: 875mm - 830mm
Guitar Scale: 648mm
3-piece maple necks
Maple and Ash Body wings
Walnut veneer pinstripes
Zebrano tops
Rosewood fretboards

The bass is for myself so it will be 100% to my own spec:
- No controls (after years of playing bass, i find i never use the onboard controls except to turn the volumn to zero. So I'm going to wire the pickup directly to the jack socket and wire in a killswitch.
- The tuning system will be homemade (false head - the head will just anchor the strings and the tuners will be at the bridge)
- Pickup will be homemade. Single coil, maybe individual coils per string, havnt decided.

The guitar I am making to (maybe) sell so will be a bit more standard, probably two humbuckers, les-paul style bridge etc.

Build progress so far:

Gluing one of the neck blanks:

After ticknessing on my router sled:

Maple neck blanks and the ash and maple that will make the body wings:

The body wing cuts of ash and maple:

Clamping up the bass (i actually glued the body wings separately but never took any pics):

The guitar and bass after leveling on my router sled:

Chambering the bodies to take out some weight:

Bookmatching the bass body top:

Bass top and veneers:

Bass top glued on:

Guitar top before bookmatching:

Guitar top and veneers:

Guitar top glued on:

Wow. I cannot wait for more.
For the bass, fretted/fretless?

Thanks, i'll keep the updates coming....
This one will be fretted, but there'll definitely be a fretless version at some point!

Your body lamination is real cool, both in technique and wood selection.
I thought I was the only one who used a routing sled for thicknessing everything, your jig is way less primitive than mine. Your methods are very resourceful.

I really like your actual design, too. Very organic and voluptuous.

Me too, there's something about the feel that I prefer to jointing...
