Question: Exactly how did ya square away that missing chunk on the Pbass? Was it back-filled with something, or you returned the missing portion to the body? I'd like to hear the details if you've got the time.

i had cut the ragged wood way in a smooth sqaure about 3/4 of and inch glued it inand sanded and shaped to match the guitar

Nice job on the Jazz. I'd keep the pickguard. How hard would it be to do a matching headstock? That would be fabulous!

I say no pickguard. Why cover up that cool paint job?

im think a clear pickguard, but the headstock would not be hard, i may do it one day, all you had to do was tape the hell out of it

Yeah, I like the clear pickguard idea. Have it on there to protect the finish, but clear so you can enjoy it. And, yeah, masking the headstock would be some work. I still think it would be worth it in the long run, especially since you put your own custom decal on it.
