Wanted to share this story real quick. My Epiphone TB IV neck cracked, on the back side, on the 5th fret more or less when my child knocked it down. I thought I was doomed since, I modded it and couldn't ask for warranty repair.
Then, I met this guy @ work who works with wood but no experience with musical instruments. He said he could glue it back. I didn't believe him but gave it a shot anyways and it worked! It was a huge crack.
I still use it to this day. Stays tuned and no neck bow or any other problems except for the glue mess he left on the back. Still playable but feels weird because the neck lost the smoothness.
Best of all? The guy did it for free.
