Fender Jazz Replacement Necks

Sign in to disble this ad
All,

I am looking for a Jazz Bass replacement neck as follows - maple / rosewood, bound and blocked, adjustable truss rod at the TOP, not bottom of neck. The last part is what I have found to be hard to find. I don't want to take off the neck to adjust the truss rod.

Any ideas or suggestions?

That is hard to find, but personally I don't find it a problem to remove the neck to adjust the rod. In the worse case you could route a channel in the body for the adjustment tool like most newer basses. USA custom guitars can probably hook you up but that would be more $$$

Warmoth could probably do it, too... you'd have to ask, though, as most of their Fender headstock necks are heel-adjustable.

I thought all parts necks adjust at the top. See them on ebay all the time.

I've been looking into one at Stewmac, it looks to be adjustable at the headstock, but its not bound.

That would be a Mighty Mite neck, IIRC... cheaper to get it off of eBay.

Good idea, I'll have a look there too, but I'll be ordering a fair bit of stuff off of Stewmac anyway, so if there isnt much difference, might be easier to pay one shipping fare.
