A few questions...

I've wanted to make my own bass ever since I've started playing & my friend is going to help me make one & he has the tools & moderate wood working experiance. & I'm just curious, what are the design quirks involved in making a bass purely shaped like a stick? I'll try to give you an idea. I'll also be headless.

of course wider on the fingering side, sort of a jazz neck style. I'l just curious, is something like that possible? Also curious if it's a good idea to put the control knobs where the #'s are? This isent my idea, but I'm just more into lerning at this point & I'm curious if anyone here could point out any dire issues with this design?
