Fiber markers on a neck through

Sign in to disble this ad
On my current build I'm tossing around the idea of installing fiber markers. Has anyone had any experience with installing them on a neck through? The biggest challenge I see is making the channel to the electronics compartment.

Forgive my ignorance and lack of use of the 'search function' - what are fiber markers? Fiber-optic fret position markers?

Yes... you are correct. Sorry for the nondescript title.

Scottyd is working on a bass with them right now it can be found here

And a tutorial on how to do them here

I've done them on a couple of neck throughs, the way I do it works for any style neck joint, run the fibers into the neck pup cavity and then into the control cavity, I'm still working on the second part of the tutorial which will better help explain the process.
