Fillin the grain

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. Makin another bass. This time, doing the pre-finish prep myself...

The body is mahogany. The question:

I have bondo at my cab shop. Has anyone ever used this as a grain filler? I'm doing an opaque finish, so the green showing thru isn't a concern. In fact, the color I'm having it shot IS green, btw...

Thoughts? It's free, it's quick hardenning, easily sands, and doesn't shrink.

prop pro pro pro? Thoughts?

Birchwood Casey makes a clear pore filler that you can buy at almost any gun shop.
