First build, please help

Hello everyone.
I'm planning my first build and for now I'm just collecting tools and knowledge.I think I red almost every post here and I didn't find answers to my questions. So I'm asking-
My first problem is about thruss rod.Whit kind do you think is the best?Do you make your own thruss rods or you're buying?
My second problem is about hollowing the body. One of things(for me)that make a good instrument is similar tone and similar amount of energy on every note.Could it be that I would have problem with resonance on certain frequencies if I make hollow body with no resonator hole as I planned.
Is there a big difference between artificially dried wood and one that dried in a natural way

Thanks

Are you building an acoustic or a chambered electric? Check out lmi and stewmac websites for supplies like truss rods. Acoustic builders generally prefer air dried wood, but kiln dried is fine for electrics.

Krompeer,
Do yourself a good favor and pick up, Melvyn Hiscock's "Make your own electric guitar" and "building electric guitars", by Martin Koch ( ebook is $20 at http://buildyourguitar.com/clickbank/ebeg/index.asp ). Both books helped me alot and will greatly benefit you, as well as reserve the more "complex and detailed" questions for here at talkbass. I (and possibly others) would highly recommend doing some reading before you just "jump into it".

This should help too:
