I don't know what the depth is on that band saw, but if it cant do 7" at minimum it wont be good for resawing. I doubt they make a riser block for that band saw.

You could always sell it and the lathe and get something like a 14" Delta though if you want to get into resawing tops.
Thanks !! I am going to see the tools today on lunch time, I hope they are in good conditions

Just my opinion - if you plan to use these tools for things other than your first build or for more builds in the future, then it would make sense. But if your dropping all that cash on tools that you'll use only on one build, it doesn't make too much sense.

For my first build, still in progress, I used a 20$ jigsaw instead of a bandsaw. A 80$ router, and a 60$ drill press. Although my main tool is a self built thickness sander, it suffices my jointing and thicknessing needs. If you have a saw mill close to you, all your resawing and thicknessing can be outsourced from them. A jointer is something, if you get a good deal on, you should get though. Outsourcing jointing work maybe possible, but if your wood moves after that, you'll have to get it done again. A tablesaw I guess is a luxury

I see you have a good budget for tools, and there's nothing better than getting good quality tools. Its just that buying large machines and using them for one job seems a bit cost ineffective to me. But I guess at your end of the world it would be easy to sell all tools after your build for nearly the same price

Good luck I must warn you it is addictive..!!

If your making all those things then definitely get all those tools. IIRC there is a machine available that is a thickness planer and a jointer in one. I had seen it somewhere. Could be a bit cheaper and would save a lot of space too.
