First fretboard-pics

Worked a bit tonight on my 32" Scale fretboard.
Got the thing cut, and the frets in place.

It's ebony and I experienced a little chipping, but nothing too big and nothing left the fretboard. It's definately amatuer built. not masterbuilt.
I did have fun carving the skull for the 12th, though.

nice clean looking board, the skull is awesome! Looks like its going on a fun bass, or are you just going to play the fretboard? now that would be the ultimate travel bass!
but srsly? what else is this fb going on?

the skull looks great from that distance. Up close you can really tell it's my first time. No close pics right now.
here's the body and the paint idea.

And here's a pick of a guitar we built which is like I want the finish to be. Like a mirror.

Will be working on the neck this Sat. hopefully.
