adding a heel to the neck; ears and headplate on and back of neck thicknessed, might backstrap the back aswell; probbly will but im not sure if bloodwood is the way to go; i think its my only real option, but it might be too distracting from behind (thats what she said)
another option iwas thinking was throwing an ash strapping on there and finish it like the body will be; black grain fill;
and a front view; if you havent noticed, this thing is going to be EVIL.

wrist area carved out;
we weighed this beast right after i finished carving this;
the body alone started at almost 11 lbs.
with the neck attatched (no hardware other than the 3 screws) its down to just over 7 lbs. its almost a bearable weight!
but thats what you get with blood wood; fortunatly i expressed this concern before starting;

alright; so went to vegas.............now for some positive news!
i sealed the ash before i went, and just applied the grain fill (black)
i apllied it and then started cleaning; when i went back; i swear it was 15 min, it was already dry; soooo i have quite a bit of sanding to do, so good thing i didnt glob an outragous amount on; it will be a coll effect when im done

| | | neck is carved; and awaiting the clients approval before completly sanding up; i dont know what the shape is called; the bass side is like a standard c shape where the treble side is more steep; i wanna call it a 'J' shape if you can picture that;
anyway
