I am looking to get a five string neck from usa custom guitars and have no clue as to the width it should be, I have small hands for bass player, I know this is not much to go on, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Grant

it looks from your avatar that you have a Carvin 5er. if you like the feel of Carvins (which i do!) then shoot for as close. Carvin 5ers are about 1 3/4" at the nut and about 2 1/2" at the 12th fret. i THINK Carvin necks would be considered a D profile, but hopefully someone else can clarify this. whatever you get, though, it will not feel like a Carvin unless it is.
