Hey guys

A while back a made a thread about what colour i should paint my thunderbird, well its painted

http://s873.photobucket.com/albums/a...eraltman_Ebay/

Came up looking pretty nice, there are a few bits of over/under spray because i had trouble finding some good painters tape, but other than that im happy with it.

Looks like im going to have to sell it now though as im GASing for a fender really bad.. saw a T-40 the other day which i liked the look of too

That looks really great! Congrats. If I had extra money I would consider making an offer.

Well i bought it second hand from a guy who had sanded back the finish (which was a bit of a bummer, id have rather just paint over the standard finish) so i had to finish off his job, and then seal the whole lot.

I just used enamel spray cans from an auto shop for the finish, Primer, white, red and a clear coat.

A can and a bit of primer later the finish was starting to looks smooth, from there i just did a coat or two of white where i wanted it to show through, taped that up (not very well) and then hit the whole lot with a can of red paint.

let that dry for a few days and then sealed the whole lot with a clear coat. Cost me $15 in paint, bargain
