fitting headstock logo
Hopefully a pretty simple one for you guys...
I recently acquired a Hagstrom Concorde (pictured below)
I have now got a new headstock logo which is attached by little pins sticking out of the bottom.
The headstock has had the holes to fit it filled in at some point.
My question is what is the best way to fit it?
Should i just drill out the filled holes slightly smaller than the pins and then carefully push the logo into them?
Apologies for the poor image quality, i ended up having to take the photos using my phone.
Thanks very much!
I would press the logo in to mark exactly where the pins are, drill them out, then use CA or thinned epoxy in the holes to secure the logo once pressed in.
That sounds like an excellent idea - ill give that a go this week :)
Right. I would not try to press fit all those pins. I would try for at most the outer two having slight resistance to insertion, and the others none at all.
Got it done, thanks for the advice guys - worked great!
