Fixing a large dent in poly?

Sign in to disble this ad
What is the best way to fix a large dent in poly where the paint is still there? This is on a strat style guitar, on the forearm contour. Would the soldering iron and wet cloth method work on this, or is that just for bare wood? Its maybe the size of dime. It was hard to picture.

Poly isn't a hot finish, so the soldering iron wont blend the finish. I'm afraid I don't have any advice on how to fix the dent, though.

maybe fill it with CA Glue (super glue) and level? though you might see it where they join...
