Question Floating Single Saddle Bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
How hard is it to set proper intonation on a bass with a floating single saddle bridge.

Would it be dumb to have an individual floating bridge for each string to make intonation easier?

I would imagine that's already figured for compensation.
(I assume you mean

However, it's more crucial for fretted than fretless. Intonation is in the fingers on a fretless.

How about a bridge like my seven string has?

Each string has it's own ebony saddle that is held down by the string tension, and held in place by the grooves in the bridge.
