Fodera Mike Pope pre-amp and wiring

Sign in to disble this ad
I am currently building my own bass and now I am focusing on electronics and picK-ups. I have no background in this so this is brand new to me. I was interested in the Fodera sound and was wondering would it be hard to replicate the Fodera Mike Pope pre-amp. I know it's their trade secret and would not reveal it to anyone since I already emailed and asked them. Any ideas, links or any info about wiring and which brands/model of pickups I can use? Also, if you buy a pair of active pickups, do they come with the necessary components to build the preamp or do i need to take a trip to radio shack and and get a master's degree in electronics?
