Frankenstein Baritone, any thoughts?

I was curious how difficult it would be to take a standard guitar body, slap on a 29" neck new bridge nut pups and strings, tune it an octave below EADGBE, and still have the correct tension? What sort of pot/cap/misc electronic replacement would be necessary, if any? Also, would the fingerboard be too narrow if trying to mimic something akin to the Fender Bass VI. And on that note, what stock guitars have the widest necks at their base?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Your main concern is to make sure that the nut-to-bridge spacing is 29". Other than that, I don't think you'll have issues. Your pickups might not be so great in the bass department but there are no implications to pots and capacitors, per se.
