This is an example of why patience pays off: Matt came to me with a restoration request and so many things went less than perfectly along the way. Since he was understanding and patient I began to feel badly about the situation and so I offered a second bass that he was free to design as a way of saying "thank you".

Here's the start - Rosewood and straight grained Sugar Maple for the neck:


Resawn and ready for planing:

It's just a crime that you're using such a beautiful slab of rosewood where almost none of it'll be seen

But I'm sure it'll look great, and it's cool that you're doing that.
