Has anyone ever sandwiched a contrasting veneer between a maple board and maple neck to give a pinstripe effect.
Any pics? I can't find any.

I have. I put a bubinga line in between a maple fingerboard and a Sycamore neck.

I think I've seen one like that at Warmoth a while back.

I have done it several time when using spalted fingerboards. I have used Wenge and Ebony. It does add a nice touch.
