Hey guys, my first post ever on this site and no doubt it has been asked many times before (there was a que)

. I just got up to the prep sanding of my first bass getting ready to send it to a company who does 2-Pak lacquer finishes, My mum (a therapeutic masseuse) wanted to show a client of hers the bass, and in the process discoloured a large part of the fret board and body with her hands which were covered in almond oil. The wierd thing is that it looks really spotty on the end of the fret board like its been sprayed with something, but it hasn't???????????
I was wondering how to get the oil off? I heard turps and that typa stuff can burn the timber??

I was also wondering if the oil would react and stop the 2-pak from bonding to the timber properly upon application?
Any ideas?
