Hey all. I just noticed there was a Luthier's Corner on Talkbass. Duh.....

Anyway I have posted pics of my first bass else where on TB but haven't got much feedback, I thought some fellow builders could give me constructive advice.

I'm almost finished with the second one which looks absolutely incredible. My digital camera is broken so I'll try to get some pictures soon.

Anyway, here is number 1.

That's a nicely designed bass! Simple and modern in shape!
I'm in the process of SLOWLY building my first one and I'm using swamp ash for the body.
How did you finish yours? I'm still researching my options and would love to know.

very nice,
I like it. i like the look of the wide body. The word "beefy" comes to mind. It's a good thing though.

Thanks.

I finished the body with Minwax Waterbased Polycrylic Gloss. The neck is the same but I used satin.
