Headstock brass plate

I need to get a brass plate to fit on my Fender Precision Headstock to stop vibration. Does anyone know where I can find this? It is a flat plate that fits under the tuners and screws to the headstock. I have seen these but can't remember where.

Hi, tramp

It's called Fathead and was invented and patented by Aspen Pittman (Groove Tubes) and is designed to increase sustain by adding mass to the headstock.

For some reason GT website seems to be down, ZZ-ryder Guitars sells them now

Hope this helps

I saw those, but what I am looking for is a flat plate in the shape of the headstock. You pull off the tuners, screw the plate on and than put the tuners back on. Can anybody help?

The FatHead brass plate has been out of production for quite some time. I used to have one on my Geddy Lee Jazz bass. It was pretty cool. I sold it on ebay (where they show up every once in a while) because I really didn't need it.

They now make the FatFinger. It's more of a removable brass clip. If you are near a GuitarCenter, they should have them for you to try it out before buying it. They make them for guitar and bass. I also have one of those. Pretty cool as well, but I really don't use it. Adding any slight weight to the headstock was never my favorite thing to do, but they are cool if you are sitting down to record.

Good luck.
