Help finding a bass

Sign in to disble this ad
After hours with the search function both here and google, I just have to ask whomever built it or knows of this for help. A while back, someone posted a pic of a bass that had a bunch of blocks cut and glued together around the peripheral of a body design. These were trimmed up and had a front and back plate installed. The resulting aesthetic was a checkerboard patter around the core of the body.

Does anyone know of this build or have pics of it in progress? It looked like a ton of work, but with an awesome payoff.

Thanks,
Eric

Never saw that one - but if you want to see the evolution of that idea in an acoustic guitar, Google "Howard Klepper dovetail madness" and also check out DMII in his gallery. Crazy.
