Question hipshot or schaller bridge

is there any difference when using hipshot or schaller or other bridge ??
i mean to the tone, or sustain or anything ??

Between those two names, I wouldn't think so. However, the general consensus is the heavier and beefier the bridge, the more sustain. That's why some people go ga-ga over BadAss bridges.

The lighter and simpler the bridge, the more the tone of the wood comes through. There needs to be a balance between "beefiness" for sustain and lightness for tone. if sustain is all you're woried about, heck- make the whole instrument out of metal. If the tone is your main concern, and you're willing to sacrifice some sustain, a wooden bridge will do you well ( acoustic guitars, UB's, etc.)
I don't see much difference between the bridges mentioned. The Hipshot B-style bridge IMO is a good compromise between tone and sustain.

I am not a sustain freak I like these bridges. classic look and just a bit of string spacing adjustment possible.......t
