The lighter and simpler the bridge, the more the tone of the wood comes through. There needs to be a balance between "beefiness" for sustain and lightness for tone. if sustain is all you're woried about, heck- make the whole instrument out of metal. If the tone is your main concern, and you're willing to sacrifice some sustain, a wooden bridge will do you well ( acoustic guitars, UB's, etc.)
I don't see much difference between the bridges mentioned. The Hipshot B-style bridge IMO is a good compromise between tone and sustain.
