I swear it was intentional...

Okay, since there's been some interest in the "mistakes to learn from" threads, let's hear your fixe.... features

The Luthier I'm learning under was working on a $20 "scrap guitar" (beautiful, and certainly not normal), and he was nearly ready to finish, except that he hadn't made an electronics cavity yet. The normal places all had carving on them, so he had to put the cavity behind the bridge. Measuring things out, he had barely enough room for the jack, and had to put the pots on top of it. So, he drilled & chiselled out a cavity, used his secret method of closing it, and soon is going to solder the electronics in a space of about 2 cubic inches... it looks awesome, very intentional, and fits the body appearance.

Now, he's writing his name and phone # on the inside of the cover so the poor tech who expects a half hour resoldering job to replace a pot, but completely smashes the elecs (due to the complicated and unintuitive method required to close or open the cavity), gets to call him for help. If I had made it, I would have added the letters "HAHA" next to it, but with a phone number, I guess it's too easy to track down an address...

My bass, so far, all the big mistakes are inside the neck where they'll never see the light of day... or so I hope...

lol, you don't really want things going bad inside the neck...that can screw up an entire bass.

fixes? Hmm, I replace the body, it was totally intentional
