Here's some pics of some I did last year...

The cover was made extra deep then I trimmed the bottom off to glue in the bottom of the cavity. This gave me a perfect alignment for capturing the nuts over the screw holes and it allowed enough height to be adjusted into the pup itself.

Cool. Thanks for the pix Hambone, very helpful. I want to make some wood covers for the custom I'm slowly getting done, and the luthier said I could try some myself before he did, to practice my fledgling woodworking skills.

BTW, whats the bridge in the pix you linked?
