Installing a NUT

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I just bought a neck online that came with a brass nut that fits perfectly, but is not actually installed in the bass. I was wondering what type of adhesive/wood glue etc I should use to install it.

A tiny drop of super-glue will do. Donīt over-apply, you will want to be able to knock it out one day...

I assumed that all of the string tension on it would mean that I wouldn't need a ton of adhesive, so thanks!

you probably don't need glue at all as the string tension will hold it in place, but it's nice to have something hold it on if you ever take all of the strings off
