I think he brings a lot more to the 'magic tone wood' argument than most of that persuasion. He recognizes that wood's contribution to tonal response varies, even in different pieces from the same tree. I'd be even more of a fan if he had a transducer connected to an oscilloscope and used that to judge freq response instead of (or to at least validate) his ear, but I digress. Great build thread... I just hope that's not acid flux he's using to solder those pickup wires.

That being said, he does great work

I bought this particular bass in the build thread from him last year. Cost me around $4400 shipped to Canada. No duty. No regrets, and totally worth it! Killer bass and its actually an ash body. Anyone who is about to order an Alleva Copollo should check this guy out first.
