it's a guitar, but i need some help

so i'm planning a flying V build, and i have a few questions and i figured this would be the best place to ask. excuse the crappy quality, its a little out of scale, but i made this on paint with no pictures to work off when i was bored at work.

specs:
5-piece neck through, maple/(not sure yet)
ebony board
24 frets
alder body
modified neck heel
beveled edges
OFR
evo bridge pickup
fernandes sustainer

my first question is, does anyone know where i can get 5-piece neck through blanks?

second, would i have to create some tyoe of neck angle to keep the action reasonable?

im sure i'll have more questions, thanks in advance.

im open to criticism, but please, no flaming.

thanks alot, let me know what you guys think

I have no Idea on what you WANT to hear, But the left side of the V seems VERY long, like I mean really long, when you look at it for a while.

There is nothing special about wood that makes it "neck through blanks". Any good quality wood will work. I guess have a look at your local lumber yard for some maple / whatever you're after. There's plenty of topics in this forum about selecting wood (search a bit).

You may need some neck angle. You need to know the height that the strings leave the bridge saddles, the height of the fretboard (with frets) and the height of the nut. Draw a side profile (to scale). If the action appears very high then either you need to introduce a step up from the body to the fretboard or a neck angle.

If you don't have such a book I can recommend Melvyn Hiscock's book on the topic of building solid body electric guitars.

If you're looking for pre-made multi-piece laminated neck-through blanks, try Doeringer at www.doeringerguitars.com.

For $86.88, you can get a "BASIC - 5pc Design* with Mahogany, Hard Maple and/or Walnut woods (in any combination). Quarter Sawn, unfinished" blank. Cut to basic shape, but not carved at all.

You can buy a 5-piece neck-through neck (with fingerboard and frets, etc) from Carvin.
