| If it is a Squier neck with a new decal, it should drop right in. If it is a Mighty Mite you may have a problem. I bought a MM replacement neck off EBAY (all maple P Bass) and put it on a Mexican P Bass. The neck fit was very tight and required some sanding of the neck pocket to get it in. Then I tried to get it set up and the action was way high even with bridge saddles all the way down and the neck was not bowed (slight relief only). I took it to a luthier to see what was the deal. He said the heel of the neck was too tall and the neck pocket should be routed (for about $200). This was not in the budget.
My solution was to take a Badass I bridge (which had been in my junk box since about 1981) which has a higher saddle height and dial it in as much as possible. It is playable but nothing to scream about. I am giving to my niece today to play in her church.
