I got the inlays in the mail today and was able to get them in. I am hoping to get it sanded all the way over the next week and get the finish going!  |

The part at the body where you cut out the wood for the pups, gets a ramp in the middle if I'm correct (between the pups). Does any luthier always cuts away that much wood or is it also possible that you just glue in on top of the body, with only some rough sanding?

Basically like a third pickup, which is a great idea. |
