I'm waiting on the strings to arrive. They should have been here today. I planned on taking some closeup studio shots tommorrow for my website, but it may have to wait until Sunday, that is if the strings do arrive tommorrow. I still need to cut the grooves in the nut and do a setup. I want to do all that before I take the photos. I'll post a link when I have the photos up.

DR Sunbeams. There are no DR dealers around here, at least that I know of.

GC on NASA Rd.1 has DRs. Don't know if they have Sunbeams, though.

It felt good, too- even without strings. I got a chance to play his VB4, and it felt good too. He does good work!

Great looking bass man, I dig the ash neck I used ash on my last bass worked great. Is the center lam on the neck Maple? My only complaint is the headstock decal, something clearer or an inly wold look better IMHO.

Ya win some, ya loose some. I used a satin poly finish on the fiver neck and I agree, the decal doesn't look right. I think I'm going to start using a dual finish on my necks. Catalyzed lacquer on the face of the headstock and satin poly on the rest of it. Here's a pic of my VB-4 headstock. Same ash, same decal material, catalyzed lacquer finish though. The decal paper virtually disappears. And yes, the center strip is maple.
