I planned on taking some closeup studio shots tommorrow for my website, but it may have to wait until Sunday, that is if the strings do arrive tommorrow. I still need to cut the grooves in the nut and do a setup. I want to do all that before I take the photos. I'll post a link when I have the photos up.

I used a satin poly finish on the fiver neck and I agree, the decal doesn't look right. I think I'm going to start using a dual finish on my necks. Catalyzed lacquer on the face of the headstock and satin poly on the rest of it. Here's a pic of my VB-4 headstock. Same ash, same decal material, catalyzed lacquer finish though. The decal paper virtually disappears. And yes, the center strip is maple.
