Great job on that body, Mr. Rose. | Thanks, I appreciate that. I wanted to be part of the 3 wood build, but life got in the way so, I understand... no worrys. Maybe (down the road a bit) we can try something like this again . I think it would be fun. |

I do a couple ever Christmas for a Detroit based instrument charity, and always thought it would be cool to do something directly relayed to the LC regulars, but organizing it with the conflicting schedules, and personalities is tough. |

Great work guys, this will be an incredible bass. |

We have some small very crucial things bing done now, I am milling the wood for the neck blank which will compliment Andrews awesome body wings, truss rod is being made, Fingerboard is being shaped and radiused by Adam, Hopkins has finished the logos, so things are moving along. |

I volunteered to shape the fingerboard for Alex's bass on my CNC machine. I didn't realized how BIG this thing is. The rectangle represents the cutting envelope of my machine:
It doesn't fit diagonally, either. So I'm working on a strategy to cut this in two steps. Pics soon. |

I'll have you know you just cost me several thousand dollars, but I'm mostly happy about it. |

Went to Lowe's to get a piece of shelving to extend my cutting area. Also found a great piece of maple to run a test cut on:
If there's one thing I've learned in the months since finishing my CNC router, it's never cut the good wood first. Still, this is a pretty nice piece. Maybe I'll fret slot it. |

as I sit here wiring one up.
Who'd have thunk it? Quote:
